Let tomorrow worry about itself

 

Do you chase impossible rainbows? Do you chase the wind? Go after what really counts. And what is that according to Ecclessiastes 1 and 2? One is to be wise instead of being a fool. Two—eat , drink, find satisfaction in daily life. Enjoy. Enjoy the moment. Do not suspend all pleasures, tomorrow may not come.

Matthew 6:34—Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble on its own.

Yung iba kaya malungkot, yung graces nila for today. Sini-save nila for tomorrow. Kaya wala silang ma-enjoy ngayon. Tomorrow will have it’s own grace.

Jame 4:13-14—Now listen, you who say. “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money. Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a while and then vanishes.

Masama bang magninang/magninong sa binyag at sa kasal ang isang born-again?

Isang maselang bagay! Ang kaselanan ng bagay na ito’y cultural. Tayong mga Pilipino ay maka-kamag-anak, mahilig makipagkapwa at mahilig makipagkaibigan. Part of our culture yung positive na pakikisama. Noong dumating yung Protestantism, because they don’t have child baptism, itinuro ng mga missionaries sa atin yung napaka-simplistic approach na ‘Humiwalay kayo, huwag nyong gawin. Kasi hindi nila nauunawaan sa ating kultura yung Anakin mo yung nagpapaanak sa’yo. Lalo’t pamangkin mo, pinsan mo, etc., etc. Hindi ganun kasimple. Sa culture nila na individualistic, kaya nilang sikmurain yon. Kaya yung mga sekta na sumusunod sa ganung payo, dapat nilang isa-alang-alang na iba ang kultura ng nagpayo at iba ang kultura ng pinayuhan. Let me tell you a story. Dapat ba talagang magbigay tayo ng ikapu sa simbahan?

Una, nasa Bible that we should give to the Lord ten percent of our income. Pero dapat rin nating ingatan kung kanino natin ibinibigay. Talaga bang kay Lord napupunta o kung saan lang? Dapat nating iniingatan ito. Kaya tayo nire-require ni Lord na magbigay sapagkat He promised to return it a hundred fold. The Lord asks us to give so He can give in return. In other words, pinagtatanim tayo ng Diyos para tayo   umani. Noong dumating si Magellan sa Pilipinas, kaya nya nakaaway si Lapulapu dahil humihingi ng tribute. Humihingi ng buwis. Bakit humihingi ng buwis? Dahil ang pagbabayad ng buwis sa hari ng Espanya, kahit ilang barya lang, ay nagpapatunay na nagpapasakop tayo sa kanyang pagiging hari.
